A Winter’s Ride Through Upstate New York

Hi everyone, I’m Mart Chappell, owner of Cash 4 Cars Rochester, and I’m excited to share another slice of my life on the road. Similar to my last post, each day brings a new adventure as I navigate the sprawling Rochester area amid our challenging winter weather. Whether I’m battling slippery roads or marveling at the serene beauty of freshly fallen snow, there’s never a dull moment. From the quiet suburbs to the lively streets, every corner of this region holds its own charm. Join me as I take you on a journey through some memorable vehicle pickups and share a glimpse into the challenges—and fun—that come with driving around in the winter.

Every morning, I buckle up and set out on another winter adventure across Rochester and its surrounding towns. Today, for instance, I started in Brockport where I picked up a 2012 Nissan Sentra. The drive was a reminder of the beauty and challenges of upstate New York in winter—with snow-covered roads and icy patches making each mile an adventure.

Not long after, I headed to Greece to collect a rugged 1994 Jeep Wrangler. Navigating those frosty back roads, I couldn’t help but appreciate the resilience of both the vehicle and myself against the winter chill.

My journey then took me to Ontario, where a 2012 Jeep was waiting for me amidst a landscape that looked like it was straight out of a holiday postcard—white, crisp, and full of life despite the frozen bridges and slippery intersections.

The final stop brought me back to Rochester with a 2009 Ford Pickup equipped with a Utility Body. City streets during winter can be a real test of patience, but every challenge only reminds me of how rewarding this job is. I always cherish hearing from my customers, especially when their Google Reviews mention how quickly I get there and how friendly and fair I am. Those words keep me motivated even on the coldest days.

Embracing Our Winter Wonderland

Winter here in Rochester is as challenging as it is breathtaking. As I go through Brockport, Greece, Ontario, and Rochester, I’m constantly reminded of upstate New York’s unique charm during the colder months. The snow-laden trees, glistening ice on the roads, and the crisp winter air create scenes that feel straight out of a holiday postcard. Each area has its own personality—Brockport’s cozy community vibe, Greece’s rugged charm, Ontario’s picturesque landscapes, and Rochester’s vibrant city life. Despite battling slippery roads and unexpected ice patches, these journeys reveal the hidden beauty of our region every single day.

More Than Just a Job

At the end of the day, it’s not only about picking up vehicles—it’s about the journey and the people I meet along the way. Sure, winter driving brings its share of challenges, but the sense of adventure and fulfillment makes it all worthwhile.
